Possibly one of the more fun Christmases we've had (we celebrate Xmas Eve on my dad's side) even though my grandmother is in the hospital with an infection that is pretty serious. We played Wii boxing/golf/bowling and the Star Wars Clone Wars lightsaber fighting game. It was wicked. Also, there is hilarious video.

Now time for bed because fiance is coming for very early opening of Xmas stocking, followed by Xmas breakfast, Xmas crashing like a planet into a black hole and Xmas dinner ex machina. Night!

So, yesterday I went to a Halloween party with some (newish - some newer than others) friends. It was good times! There were four of us. princessofsea went as Cinderella, melliesbrain was Snow White, Court was Sleeping Beauty (she was SUPPOSED to be Belle but there were costume difficulties), and I was Tinkerbell. Sarah is hands down the best Cinderella I have ever seen! With the possible exception of the boots she wore with the dress. Then again, the party was in a barn.

I also got to meet Courtney's horses, which was exciting! They are very pretty (well, ok, Gus can be handsome), although apparently Star is kind of a snob/antisocial/out for blood. I think that depends who you ask. Plus, there were jell-o shots! Who doesn't like jell-o shots?

I may have been accosted once by some guy who clearly thought I was someone else but other than that it was a good night. I did not lose any toes to frostbite. I was highly entertained by the antics of a certain tipsy princess. And did I mention the jell-o shots?

You guys, I am already looking forward to Christmas. Now if I can just convince my mother's family to bugger off....

Hi all! My apologies for having been suspiciously absent for the past, um, month. My bad.

My brain has been kind of working on autopilot for a few weeks. I haven't been seeing much of the Boy; in April he had classes, exams, a formula car to build AND a job; now he's just got the last two for a couple of weeks but the damn car takes up so much of his time I'd kind of like to light it on fire. But that would be mean since he basically hasn't done anything but work on the stupid thing for eight months.

We need a vacation. ( Please to be helping? We might go to Vegas, and need/want pointers. )

In other news, I have slowly but steadily been writing a freakin' book. I know! Right now it has about 67,000 words. I am thinking it won't make it too many past 75,000 but still, it's exciting! I am pretty psyched about it.

( Also, I have been developing an extremely comprehensive analogy whereby everything from Stargate: SG-1 totally has an equivalent in Star Wars. )
